Rat Watson (Grady Watson) was born on May 12, 1899 in Orange, Texas. After going to high school at Orange (TX), Watson attended Southwestern University and the University of Texas. Watson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1922 with the Toledo Maroons. He played for the Toledo Maroons, Hammond Pros and Kansas City Blues over the course of his 4 year career.
