Born on August 30, 1960 in Ashland, Kentucky, Randy O'Neal (Randall Jeffrey O'Neal) played for the Detroit Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies and San Francisco Giants over the course of his 7 year career. O'Neal broke into the bigs on September 12, 1984 with the Detroit Tigers, and put up a 3.24 ERA in 94.1 innings pitched in 1985, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Randy O'Neal's best season was 1985, when he posted a 3.24 ERA and struck out 52 batters.
