Rahim Abdullah (Rahim Fahim Abdullah) was born on March 22, 1976 in Jacksonville, Florida. After going to high school at Fletcher (Jacksonville, FL), Abdullah attended Clemson University. Abdullah made his professional debut in the NFL in 1999 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns for his entire 2 year career.

2005: Played in 18 regular season games including the Western Semi-Final with the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL...finished the season tied for the team lead in sacks with eight...he was also tied for fourth in knockdowns with five...Abdullah had one multiple quarterback sack game against Ottawa on July 16 where he recorded two.

2004: Abdullah played in all 18 regular season games with the Edmonton Eskimos including the Western Semi-Final vs. the Saskatchewan Roughriders...he led the team in tackles for a loss (six for 30 yards)... Rahim also recorded five quarterback sacks (tied for 2nd on team), 30 defensive tackles, six pass knockdowns, two special team tackles, one fumble recovery and one interception...one of his best performances came early in the season vs. the British Columbia Lions where he recorded four defensive tackles and one quarterback sack.

2003: Abdullah returned to the field in 2003 with a vengeance recording eight sacks (tied for the Edmonton team lead) and 27 defensive tackles along with four special team tackles, six pass knock downs and one interception...his best performance was versus Winnipeg in week 18 where he recorded four defensive tackles and three sacks earning him the Rogers CFL Lineman of the Week honours...he recorded two defensive tackles in the CFL West Final and one defensive tackle in the Grey Cup.

2002: Abdullah showed tremendous promise in his Eskimo debut (July 4 vs Ottawa) with a team leading 5 defensive tackles and one blocked field goal...he recorded 2 defensive tackles and one sack in Week 3 (July 13 vs Toronto) before being placed on the disabled list for the remainder of the season following the discovery of a blood clot in his heart.

2000: In 2000, a groin injury limited his playing time to 13 games (4 starts), 17 tackles (12 solo) and two sacks with the Cleveland Browns.

1999: Abdullah had an outstanding rookie season, finishing fourth on the Cleveland Browns with 90 tackles (68 solo, 22 assists) in 16 regular season games (13 starts)...the athletic lineman recorded a career high 14 tackles on October 31, 1999 against the New Orleans Saints.

College: In 34 games (26 starts) at Clemson, Rahim posted 198 tackles (114 solo), three fumble recoveries, 16.5 sacks and two interceptions.

Other: Originally drafted by the Cleveland Browns with their second round selection (45th overall) in the 1999 NFL Draft...He was released prior to the start of the 2001 season and did not play in that campaign...signed by the Edmonton Eskimos in 2002.
