Phil Vandersea (Phillip John Vandersea) was born on February 25, 1943 in Whitinsville, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Northbridge (MA), Vandersea attended the University of Massachusetts. Vandersea made his professional debut in the NFL in 1966 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints over the course of his 4 year career.
