Phil Branon (Philip James Branon) was born on September 27, 1898 in Fairbanks, Vermont. After going to high school at Edmunds (Burlington, VT), Branon attended Holy Cross College. Branon made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the Cleveland Bulldogs. He played for the Cleveland Bulldogs for his entire 1 year career.
