Born on August 20, 1895 in Los Angeles, California, Pete Schneider (Peter Joseph Schneider) played for the Cincinnati Reds and New York Yankees over the course of his 6 year career. Schneider broke into the bigs on June 20, 1914 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 2.81 ERA in 144.1 innings pitched in 1914, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Pete Schneider's best season was 1917, when he posted a 2.10 ERA, won 20 games and struck out 138 batters.
