Pete Metzelaars (Peter Henry Metzelaars) was born on May 24, 1960 in Three Rivers, Michigan. After going to high school at Central (Portage, MI), Metzelaars attended Wabash College. Metzelaars made his professional debut in the NFL in 1982 with the Seattle Seahawks. He played for the Buffalo Bills, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers over the course of his 16 year career.
Most people believe that 1993 was Pete Metzelaars's best year, as he hauled in 68 receptions, had 609 receiving yards and caught 4 TD passes.
