Pete Gilbert (Peter Gilbert) was born on September 6, 1867 in Baltic, Connecticut. He made his Major League debut on September 6, 1890 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 1891, his rookie year, he hit .230 with 3 home runs and 72 RBI. Gilbert played for the Baltimore Orioles, Louisville Colonels and Brooklyn Bridegrooms over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that Pete Gilbert's best season was 1891, when he stole 31 bases and knocked in 72 runs.
