Born on July 30, 1923 in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, Paul Minner (Paul Edison Minner) played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 10 year career. Minner broke into the bigs on September 12, 1946 with the Brooklyn Dodgers, and put up a 2.44 ERA in 62.2 innings pitched in 1948, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Paul Minner's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1952, when he posted a 3.74 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 61 batters. However, others believe that it was 1954, when he posted a 3.96 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 79 batters.
