Paul Martha (John Paul Martha) was born on June 22, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Shade Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA), Martha attended the University of Pittsburgh. Martha made his professional debut in the NFL in 1964 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1967 was Paul Martha's best year, as he picked off 4 passes and had 403 kick return yards.
