Paul Laaveg (Paul Martin Laaveg) was born on October 1, 1948 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After going to high school at Belmond (IA), Laaveg attended the University of Iowa. Laaveg made his professional debut in the NFL in 1970 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1971 was Paul Laaveg's best year.
