Paul Hofer (Paul David Hofer) was born on May 13, 1952 in Memphis, Tennessee. After going to high school at Christian Brothers (Memphis, TN), Hofer attended the University of Mississippi. Hofer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1976 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers for his entire 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1979 was Paul Hofer's best year, as he ran for 615 yards, ran in 7 TDs, hauled in 58 receptions and had 662 receiving yards.
