Pat Crawford (Clifford Rankin Crawford) was born on January 28, 1902 in Society Hill, South Carolina. He made his Major League debut on April 18, 1929 for the New York Giants. In 1930, his rookie year, he hit .287 with 6 home runs and 43 RBI. Crawford played for the New York Giants, Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that Pat Crawford's best season was 1930, when he hit for a .287 average.
