9
Vote

The Indiana Pacers today traded Al Harrington, Stephen Jackson, Sarunas Jusekivicias and Josh Powell to the Golden State Warriors for Troy Murphy, Mike Dunleavey, Ike Diogu and Keith McLeod. Respective team Presidents, Larry Bird and Chris Mullin, both stated, "this trade is good for both teams, we have obtained players who best fit our style of play."

They both stated the exact same thing? Was it in unison at the same time?

We could, but it would probably take a lot longer than if we just said desperation.

We can sing a semi-rousing rendition of "Desperado" instead

I think Desperado would be appropriate as Golden State seemed to be "out riding fences" on this one.

Al Harrington is a player; he spent his early years with the Pacers, was traded to Atlanta, back to the Pacers and now on to the Warriors. The book on him is still out as far as championship potential. His skills are good enough, but are his abilities to blend into a mix of players, utilize his talents to help every other player achieve his potential while doing his part to assure victory....does he really have "IT"? If he does, then he may actually be what every team seeks...a Champion. If he is not, then the Pacers made only one mistake and that was bringing him back to the Pacers. If he is, then the Pacers made a different mistake; they gave him a chance, put up with his learning years and then brought him back at a very hefty price ... and then traded away a winner now for more of the future. No wonder Germain O'Neal has lost heart.
