Neely Allison (James Neely Allison) was born on May 14, 1902 in Balinger, Texas. After going to high school at Denton (TX), Allison attended Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University. Allison made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Buffalo Rangers. He played for the New York Giants, Buffalo Bisons and Buffalo Rangers over the course of his 3 year career.
