Born on May 11, 1922 in Amelia, Virginia, Monty Kennedy (Montia Calvin Kennedy) played for the New York Giants for his entire 8 year career. Kennedy broke into the bigs on April 18, 1946 with the New York Giants, and put up a 3.42 ERA in 186.2 innings pitched in 1946, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Monty Kennedy's best season was 1949, when he posted a 3.43 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 95 batters.
