Monty Fariss (Monty Ted Fariss) was born on October 13, 1967 in Cordell, Oklahoma. He made his Major League debut on September 6, 1991 for the Texas Rangers. In 1992, his rookie year, he hit .217 with 3 home runs and 21 RBI. Fariss played for the Texas Rangers and Florida Marlins over the course of his 3 year career.
