Mike Scifres (Michael Scifres) was born on October 8, 1980 in Metairie, Louisiana. After going to high school at Destrehan (LA), Scifres attended Western Illinois University. Scifres made his professional debut in the NFL in 2003 with the San Diego Chargers. He has played for the San Diego Chargers for his entire 4 year career.

Most people believe that 2006 was Mike Scifres's best year, as he dropped 35 punts inside the 20 and had a 41.9 yard punt average.
