Mike Raines (Vaughn Michael Raines) was born on February 14, 1953 in Montgomery, Alabama. After going to high school at Sidney Lanier (Montgomery, AL), Raines attended the University of Alabama. Raines made his professional debut in the NFL in 1974 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers for his entire 1 year career.
