Mike Purdy (Clair Joseph Purdy) in Auburn, New York. After going to high school at Dean Academy (Franklin, MA), Purdy attended Brown University. Purdy made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Rochester Jeffersons. He played in the APFA for 2 years, playing for the Syracuse Pros and Rochester Jeffersons over the course of his 2 year APFA career.Purdy also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Milwaukee Badgers the entire time.
