[edit] Biography

Born on October 8, 1959 in Tulare, California, Mike Morgan (Michael Thomas Morgan) played for the Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, Seattle Mariners, Baltimore Orioles, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, Minnesota Twins, Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks over the course of his 22 year career. Morgan broke into the bigs on June 11, 1978 with the Oakland Athletics, and put up a 5.94 ERA in 77.1 innings pitched in 1979, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Mike Morgan's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1992, when he posted a 2.55 ERA, won 16 games and struck out 123 batters. However, others believe that it was 1991, when he posted a 2.78 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 140 batters.
