Mike Merriweather (Michael Lamar Merriweather) was born on November 26, 1960 in Albans, New York. After going to high school at Vallejo (CA), Merriweather attended the University of Pacific. Merriweather made his professional debut in the NFL in 1982 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that 1984 was Mike Merriweather's best year, as he recorded 15 sacks.
