Born on April 2, 1945 in San Diego, California, Mike Kekich (Michael Dennis Kekich) played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners over the course of his 9 year career. Kekich broke into the bigs on June 9, 1965 with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and put up a 3.91 ERA in 115 innings pitched in 1968, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Mike Kekich's best season was 1971, when he posted a 4.07 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 93 batters.
