Mike Friede (Michael Gordon Friede) was born on September 22, 1957 in Haure, Montana. After going to high school at Goodland (KS), Friede attended Garden City Community College and Indiana University. Friede made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1980 was Mike Friede's best year.
