Mike Chartak (Michael George Chartak) was born on April 28, 1916 in Brooklyn, New York. He made his Major League debut on September 13, 1940 for the New York Yankees. In 1942, his rookie year, he hit .237 with 10 home runs and 51 RBI. Chartak played for the New York Yankees, Washington Senators and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that Mike Chartak's best season was 1942, when he knocked in 51 runs.
