Mickey Sims (Robert Sims) was born on March 5, 1955 in Union, South Carolina. After going to high school at Lockhart (SC), Sims attended South Carolina State University. Sims made his professional debut in the NFL in 1977 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1979 was Mickey Sims's best year, as he recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
