Mickey Grasso (Newton Michael Grasso) was born on May 10, 1920 in Newark, New Jersey. He made his Major League debut on September 18, 1946 for the New York Giants. In 1950, his rookie year, he hit .287 with 1 home run and 22 RBI. Grasso played for the New York Giants, Washington Senators and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 7 year career.
