Metz Smeach (Metzger Franklin Smeach) was born on June 1, 1895 in Connellsville, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Connellsville (PA), Smeach attended Georgetown University. Smeach made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Washington Senators. He played for the Washington Senators for his entire 1 year career.
