Merritt Kersey (Merritt Warren Kersey) was born on February 22, 1950 in Alexandria, Virginia. After going to high school at Henderson (PA), Kersey attended West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Kersey made his professional debut in the NFL in 1974 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1974 was Merritt Kersey's best year.
