Mel Black (Mel Black) was born on February 7, 1962 in New Haven, Connecticut. After going to high school at West Haven (CT), Black attended Eastern Illinois University and Santa Ana College. Black made his professional debut in the NFL in 1986 with the New England Patriots. He played for the New England Patriots for his entire 2 year career.
