[edit] Events
[edit] 1922
- Babe Ruth throws a temper tantrum after being called out at second, trying to stretch a single into a double. He tosses dirt into the eyes of the ump, goes into the stands to attack a heckler, and stands on the top of the dugout yelling at the crowd that they are cowards. He is fined $200 and suspended for one day for his actions.
[edit] 1923
- Ty Cobb scores his 1714th run, passing Honus Wagner for the most all-time.
[edit] 1935

[edit] 1937
- Mickey Cochrane gets hit in the head with a pitch from Bump Hadley. Cochrane nearly dies and spends 6 weeks in the hospital. The pitch would end his Hall of Fame career as a player. He'd return to baseball as a manager, but even that was brief.

[edit] 2006
- The Houston Astros steal 7 bases off Washington Nationals catcher, Matt LeCroy, but thanks to a lousy outing from Andy Pettitte, they lose the game anyway.
- The Kansas City Royals score 6 in the bottom of the first on a 2-run double and back-to-back-to-back home runs. They still lose the game as the Detroit Tigers score 8 in the final two frames to win it, 13-8.
[edit] Debuts
