Maury Buford (Maury Anthony Buford) was born on February 18, 1960 in Mount Pleasant, Texas. After going to high school at Mount Pleasant (TX), Buford attended Texas Technical University. Buford made his professional debut in the NFL in 1982 with the San Diego Chargers. He played for the Chicago Bears, San Diego Chargers and New York Giants over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that 1989 was Maury Buford's best year, as he dropped 21 punts inside the 20.
