Born on December 24, 1977 in Lexington, Kentucky, Matt Ginter (Matthew Shane Ginter) played for the Chicago White Sox, New York Mets and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 6 year career. Ginter broke into the bigs on September 1, 2000 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 4.47 ERA in 54.1 innings pitched in 2002, his rookie year.
