Marty Perez (Martin Roman Perez) was born on February 28, 1946 in Visalia, California. He made his Major League debut on September 9, 1969 for the California Angels. In 1971, his rookie year, he hit .227 with 4 home runs and 32 RBI. Perez played for the California Angels, Atlanta Braves, San Francisco Giants, Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that Marty Perez's best season was 1973, when he knocked in 57 runs.
