Marty Kottler (Martin Albert Kottler) was born on May 1, 1910 in Carnegie, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Carnegia (PA), Kottler attended Centre College. Kottler made his professional debut in the NFL in 1933 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 1 year career.
