Mark Teahen (Mark Thomas Teahen) was born on September 6, 1981 in Redlands, California. He made his Major League debut on April 4, 2005 for the Kansas City Royals. In 2005, his rookie year, he hit .246 with 7 home runs and 55 RBI. Teahen played for the Kansas City Royals for his entire 2 year career.
Teahen was one of the famed Moneyball draft picks by Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane. He came to the Kansas City Royals as part of the Carlos Beltran trade.
