Mark Messier, Ron Francis lead 2007 Hockey Hall of Fame class

Defenseman Al McInnis and Scott Stevens joined Mark Messier, Ron Francis, and former Toronto Maple Leafs General Manager Jim Gregory in the 2007 Hockey Hall of Fame class announced today by Commissioner Gary Bettman.
Messier played 25 seasons in the NHL and finished second all time in points. Francis played 23 seasons and ranks fourth all time on the scoring list, and trails only Wayne Gretzky in career assists. McInnis spent the majority of his career in Calgary and ranks third all time in scoring by a defenseman and was known for his legendary slapshot. Scott Stevens was a hard hitting defenseman and captain of the New Jersey Devils three Stanley Cup winning teams.
Jim Gregory was the Maple Leafs General Manager from 1969-1979 and is currently President of the NHL's Central Scouting Bureau.
Ceremonies for the new inductees will be held November 11 and 12 in Toronto.
