Mark Macdonald (Mark Goodwin MacDonald) was born on April 30, 1961 in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Catholic Memorial (Boston, MA), Macdonald attended Boston College. Macdonald made his professional debut in the NFL in 1985 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played for the Minnesota Vikings and Phoenix Cardinals over the course of his 4 year career.
