Born on May 11, 1958 in Lincoln, Nebraska, Mark Huismann (Mark Lawrence Huismann) played for the Kansas City Royals, Seattle Mariners, Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers, Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 9 year career. Huismann broke into the bigs on August 16, 1983 with the Kansas City Royals, and put up a 4.20 ERA in 75 innings pitched in 1984, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Mark Huismann's best season was 1986, when he posted a 3.79 ERA and struck out 72 batters.
