Mariano Duncan (Mariano (Nalasco) Duncan) was born on March 13, 1963 in San Pedro de Macoris, Macoris (Dominican Republic). He made his Major League debut on April 9, 1985 for the Los Angeles Dodgers. In 1985, his rookie year, he hit .244 with 6 home runs and 39 RBI. Duncan played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays over the course of his 12 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Mariano Duncan's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1992, when he knocked in 50 runs. However, others believe that it was 1985, when he stole 38 bases.
