Mari(on) Had A Little Fit....And now he wants a trade

So while your laughing at this or simply wondering WTF this has to do with sports, allow me to explain. This cartoon is representative, Mario is the Phoenix Suns, Yoshi is Shawn Marion and Mario ditching Yoshi to save himself is Phoenix trying to trade Marion this offseason and the end result is Marion/Yoshi hurt by the betrayal and the Suns/Mario caught in an awkward situation. Now if the cartoon had a next scene it would be Yoshi happily leaving with Luigi as Marion hopes to be happy elsewhere.  Can't blame the guy this offseason he was in more packages than Paris Hilton.  Can't blame the Suns either, as valuable as Marion has been its KG, theres GMs willing to sell their souls to get KG to play for their team but in the end the Suns are bound to lose both for a couple of draft picks. Marion is a talented player whos numbers went down but not due to lack of productivity but rather players like Amare and Barbosa stepping up to pick up on the scoring. But where is Marion going to go?? Dont think about Boston he said he hates it here and we wont accept him and also if the payroll gets any higher my taxes are going up (thats right I'm on to you Mayor Menino).  The Jazz, Pistons are the best places for him and I hope he and his agent dont believe he has the talent to take over a team of his own.  The Suns suffer from a Seinfeld curse where the ensemble cast is great but separately they disappear...who saw Kramer before the n-word controversy...anyone??? Could you imagine Chancey Billups or Rip Hamilton taking Kobe or LeBrons place on a team? Besides that Marion is going in reverse the trend is for veterans to take a backseat to the stars of tomorrow as Shaq and Iverson did.  Another thing thats hurting Marions chances is that he waited too long to demand anything. Even NBA Live has their rosters finalized and most teams are done wheeling and dealing until the deadline where they'll frantically get a last minute deal done which makes no sense since they have the whole first half of the season to trade yet they wait until the final week, anyway most teams are going to pass shaking up the roster they spent all summer completing.  Besides the Suns were a suspension away from a championship, they should have left things alone if it aint broke dont fix it, they could've grabbed up a scrappy player from Golden State or the Knicks to scare the Spurs from trying anything and they'll be ready to lose to the Celtics in June.  Anyway unless Marion has a change of heart, I see this ending badly for both sides.
