Mack Herron (Mack W. Herron) was born on July 24, 1948 in Biloxi, Mississippi. After going to high school at David Farragut (Chicago, IL), Herron attended Hutchinson Community College and Kansas State University. Herron made his professional debut in the NFL in 1973 with the New England Patriots. He played for the New England Patriots for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1974 was Mack Herron's best year, as he ran for 824 yards, ran in 7 TDs, hauled in 38 receptions, caught 5 TD passes, had 517 punt return yards and had 629 kick return yards.
