Luis Sojo (Luis Beltran (Sojo) Sojo) was born on January 3, 1965 in Caracas, Distrito Federal (Venezuela). He made his Major League debut on July 14, 1990 for the Toronto Blue Jays. In 1991, his rookie year, he hit .258 with 3 home runs and 20 RBI. Sojo played for the Toronto Blue Jays, California Angels, Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that Luis Sojo's best season was 1995, when he hit for a .289 average.
