Lowell Otte (Frederic Lowell Otte) was born on July 20, 1904 in Fremont County. After going to high school at Sidney (IA), Otte attended the University of Iowa. Otte made his professional debut in the AFLG in 1926 with the New York Yankees. He played in the AFLG for 1 year, playing for the New York Yankees the entire time. Otte also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Buffalo Bisons the entire time.
