Lowell Lander (Lowell Ken Lander) was born on September 12, 1932 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Avonworth (Pittsburgh, PA), Lander attended Westminster College. Lander made his professional debut in the NFL in 1958 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 1 year career.
