Louis Lipps (Louis Adam Lipps) was born on August 9, 1962 in New Orleans, Louisiana. After going to high school at East St. John's (Reserve, LA), Lipps attended the University of Southern Mississippi. Lipps made his professional debut in the NFL in 1984 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that 1985 was Louis Lipps's best year, as he hauled in 59 receptions, had 1134 receiving yards, caught 12 TD passes, had 437 punt return yards and ran back 2 punts for touchdowns.
