Born on June 1, 1911 in Cumberland, Washington, Lou Tost (Louis Eugene Tost) played for the Boston Braves and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 3 year career. Tost broke into the bigs on April 20, 1942 with the Boston Braves, and put up a 3.53 ERA in 147.2 innings pitched in 1942, his rookie year.
