Lou Sossamon (Louis Cody Sossamon) was born on June 2, 1921 in Gaffney, South Carolina. Sossamon attended the University of South Carolina. Sossamon made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the New York Yankees. He played for the New York Yankees for his entire 3 year career.
