Born on August 21, 1971 in Evergreen Park, Illinois, Lou Pote (Louis William Pote) played for the Anaheim Angels and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 5 year career. Pote broke into the bigs on August 11, 1999 with the Anaheim Angels, and put up a 3.40 ERA in 50.1 innings pitched in 2000, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Lou Pote's best season was 2001, when he posted a 4.15 ERA and struck out 66 batters.
