Lou Michaels (Louis Andrew Michaels) was born on September 28, 1935 in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Staunton Military Academy (Front Royal, VA) and Swoyersville (PA), Michaels attended the University of Kentucky. Michaels made his professional debut in the NFL in 1958 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Baltimore Colts, Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that 1969 was Lou Michaels's best year.
